This Fall, NCO will present works showcasing its talented instrumental sections – the orchestra’s voices. Our brass players will perform a Dukas Fanfare, two Gabrieli Canzons and an arrangement of Billy Joel’s And So It Goes. NCO’s winds will present selections from Mozart’s Gran Partita, and our strings will perform Grieg’s Holberg Suite. The orchestra will come together to play Samuel Barber’s sublime Knoxville: Summer of 1915 (Sydney Kucine, soprano) and the U.S. premiere of Joel Toews’ thrilling 2022 work, Mirrors in Haida Gwaii.
At the podium will be Jacob Niemann, Valentina Paolucci and NCO Lead Conductor Mark Powell.
